ReStore First Year Anniversary Party June 15, 2013
Ground Breaking Ceremony at Rock Street Lowell
Grounding breaking for the new Rock Street Lowell project was well attended with over 60 local officials, companies and people from the community . Speaches from MA State Senator Eileen Donoghue, Mayor Murphy, City Manager Bernie Lynch, John Sheehan of Greater Lowell Technical HS, Henry Kucharzyk from ACTION, started off the celebration. Brenda Gould, Exec Dir of HFHGL introduced each of the local companies sponsoring this 4 home build. Michael Szabados, COO of NetScout and Peg Lovett, Community Relations Mgr of Cisco – both major sponsor. This was followed by our foundation sponsor Andy Amata of ReMax Prestige and floor sponsors Joe Andrews, SVP HR of Progress Software and Tom Litle , Chairman of Litle & Co. Each donned a hardhat and gold shovel for the ceremonial first dig.

Gingerbread Fair – Dec 2-3, 2012 at All Saints Church, Chelmsford MA. Bakers, decorators, kids of all ages – put lots of energy and creativity into building replicas of the mill buildings and homes of Lowell as well as a slew of wonderful gingerbread designs. The Merry Moose Fair at the ReStore was a huge success
Tis the Season for shopping and having fun! And shopping they did. 25 local crafters offered many gift giving ideas. The ReStore was buzzing with lots of activity The ReStore was busy all day with people coming to check out the craft and vendor tables at the Merry Moose Fair, to test drive Ford cars and to try to win cases of 50 Back Beer (which will support the Critical Repair Program) and gift baskets. Even Santa was there with his merry elf.
All this to help raise money for our affiliate to build 4 homes on Rock Street in Lowell.
The Drive 4UR Community program was developed by Ford as a fun, engaging way to help community organizations raise money to support their charities and causes. For every valid test drive* completed at Drum Hill Ford on Saturday December15th Ford Motor Company is making a donation of $20 to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell, up to $6,000.
