Building strength, stability, self-reliance through shelter

Since its founding in 1991, HFHGL has impacted the lives of 166 families. HFHGL has built or renovated a total of 44 homes, completed 46 Critical Repair jobs for our veterans and elderly and funded/built 74 homes globally.

To date, HFHGL’s 3 largest completed projects were a 3-duplex neighborhood, located at Harmony Way in Lowell, an 8 home neighborhood on Carter Way, Bedford and 8 homes in the Acre neighborhood of Lowell. HFHGL projects have placed more than 298 people into quality housing.

HFHGL services 15 towns in Northern Middlesex community: Bedford, Billerica, Burlington, Carlisle, Chelmsford, Concord, Dracut, Dunstable, Lowell, Reading, Tewksbury, Tyngsboro, Wakefield, Westford, and Wilmington

Vision Statement

Habitat for Humanity’s vision is a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live and housing poverty and homelessness are eliminated. We believe that the home is a key catalyst in helping to permanently break the cycle of poverty.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell (HFHGL) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that works to strengthen families and communities by building and renovating decent, energy efficient, and affordable homes.

We work in partnership with corporations, like-minded community groups, faith-based organizations, and individual volunteers.

Habitat for Humanity will not proselytize.  Habitat will not try to convert or try to make one listen or respond to messages designed to induce conversion to a particular faith, political party or other cause or organization.  Habitat will also not offer assistance to others who insist on proselytizing as part of their work with HFH.
