Volunteer

Volunteer at our Greater Lowell ReStore now located at 100 Chelmsford Road, North Billerica (around back) and help build homes! The ReStore is a retail store which sells new and gently used furniture, appliances, building materials and home goods to the general public at a fraction of the retail price. All proceeds fund the mission of building safe, decent, affordable homes for local families.

ReStore volunteers are an integral part of our mission. You’ll help drive sales in our store, assist customers, place merchandise, help process donations, and much more. Our ReStore is open Wednesday- Sunday and full and part time volunteer hours available. Volunteers 14 and older are welcome.

What are some typical duties during a ReStore volunteer shift?

A volunteer shift at ReStore might include receiving donations, sorting materials (hardware, tile, tools, etc.), building displays, and basic maintenance duties such as sweeping, cleaning, and organizing our aisles. Every day is a little different and everything you do makes a difference in the community, so we appreciate your flexibility as a volunteer! There are many ways in which community members can engage with ReStore. If you have a specific skill set that you feel could benefit our program, we’d love to hear from you!
