Vision Statement

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell’s vision is a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live and housing poverty and homelessness are eliminated. We believe that the home is a key catalyst in helping to permanently break the cycle of poverty.

Mission Statement

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell (HFHGL) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that works to strengthen families and communities by building and renovating decent, energy efficient, and affordable homes. We work in partnership with corporations, like-minded community groups, faith-based organizations, and individual volunteers.

Hand Up

We believe that providing decent affordable, energy efficient and stable housing for those in need through sweat equity strengthens families and in turn communities

Openness

We welcome all people who seek the love of God without regard to religion, ability, age, color, economic circumstance, ethnic background, family configuration, gender, nationality, or sexual orientation.

Partnership

We share our responsibilities with others by working with volunteers, other non profits, local governments, sponsors, religious congregations and others in our community.

Habitat for Humanity will not proselytize. Habitat will not try to convert or try to make one listen or respond to messages designed to induce conversion to a particular faith, political party or other cause or organization. Habitat will also not offer assistance to others who insist on proselytizing as part of their work with HFH.
