Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do! We need your help to ensure that everyone in Greater Lowell has a decent place to live. No experience needed!

Help us build a home in Greater Lowell, or help our Critical Home Repair team complete work for a local veteran or elderly neighbor. No experience required! We will provide all the safety equipment, tools, and instruction to help out. Our construction manager will always try to tailor your volunteer experience to your skills and interests depending on what point we’re at with the build. Groups who book a Team Build Day will receive lunch during their volunteer day.
The Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell ReStore is located at 100 Chelmsford Road in Billerica. The ReStore accepts donations of furniture, appliances, building materials, home goods and more that it resells to generate cash flow to support Habitat Lowell programming.
Volunteer opportunities include receiving donations, sorting materials, building store displays, and basic maintenance like sweeping, cleaning, and organizing our aisles. If you have a specific skill that you think would benefit the ReStore, we’d love to hear from you!
Our construction crew and regular volunteers get hungry on the job site! We rely on local businesses, organizations, groups, and individuals to provide lunch for them as much as possible. It helps us save on the cost of food, and helps our crew feel appreciated! Past lunches have included pizza, sandwiches, salad, lasagna, etc. We’re open to any ideas you have!
This is a great opportunity for youth groups who would not be able to volunteer on our job sites otherwise.
Consider hosting a fundraiser to support Habitat Lowell! In the past, volunteers have hosted fundraisers including Buy a Board, Gingerbread for Humanity, Facebook fundraisers, and more! We would love to hear your ideas and brainstorm about what will work best for your group.
