2/16/26: Family Applications for Concord are Open! – Lowell Sun

The Sun is a daily newspaper based in Lowell, Massachusetts, serving towns in Massachusetts and New Hampshire in the Greater Lowell area.
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell is delighted to announce the Partner Family Selection Process for three new single-family homes in Concord, MA is now open.  

2/10/26: Interview on NightSide With Dan Rea

NightSide focuses on a wide variety of issues, political, economic and social. Rea believes that talk radio is the best way for people to communicate their opinions and ideas on what he calls “North America’s Virtual Back Porch.” Rea encourages challenging conversations and diverse ideas combined with respect and tolerance for the opinion of others.
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell creates partnership with Minuteman Technical Institute to give students a project where they can gain tangible job skills, outside of the classroom at their build site in Concord, Massachusetts.

August 2025: Key Ceremony in Bedford! – Bedford Citizen

The Bedford Citizen informs and engages the Bedford, MA, community through reporting news of local significance, promoting local events, fostering connectivity, and encouraging participation.

Because of Habitat for Humanity, Maria E. Pereyra’s dream of owning a home for her family has come true.

“We are so blessed,” she said. “I couldn’t afford to buy a house at a regular price.”

While a ceremony Monday welcoming Pereyra, her son Amir El Makri, daughter Yasmin El Makri, and mother Alicia Medina to their new home on Winterberry Way in Bedford celebrated the culmination of that dream, it was also about the community that made the day possible.


July 2025: Bedford Construction Nears Completion! – Bedford Citizen

The Bedford Citizen informs and engages the Bedford, MA, community through reporting news of local significance, promoting local events, fostering connectivity, and encouraging participation.

The house at 23 Winterberry Way will be welcoming a new family soon. 

Signing of the home ownership papers, expected towards the end of August, will be the latest milestone for the home that brought a family together with volunteers, donors, and the Town of Bedford through Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell (HFHGL).


December 2024: Habitat Intern Experience! – UMass Lowell

As a Research 1 public university, UMass Lowell offers affordable, experience-based programs taught by internationally recognized faculty whose research expands the horizons of knowledge and sustainable practices.

For 22-year-old Nicole Karp of Dudley, Massachusetts, interning with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell has helped hone her career path in ways she would never have imagined.


July 2024: Family Applications for Bedford are Open! – Bedford Citizen

The Bedford Citizen informs and engages the Bedford, MA, community through reporting news of local significance, promoting local events, fostering connectivity, and encouraging participation.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell is currently building and seeking a partner family for the home at 23 Winterberry Way in Bedford. This is a home with three bedrooms, one-and-a-half baths and a two-car garage. It is a property on Bedford’s Subsidized Housing Inventory.


June 2024: Westford Project: Groundbreaking! – WestfordCAT

WestfordCAT (Westford Community Access Television) is a dynamic non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the Westford, Massachusetts community through accessible media resources.

Ground has broken on an affordable housing project on Boston Road.

A groundbreaking for the Drew Farmhouse project at 70 Boston Rd. was held on May 31.
