Habitat Greater Lowell Celebrates Build Project Opening
June 23, 2021: The ribbon was cut on June 23rd kicking off the 50th & 51st home renovation project at 930 Main Street for two local families.
Dating back to the early 1900’s, the house at 930 Main Street was acquired through a collaborative effort with the Town of Concord, the Community Preservation Committee, the Concord Housing Foundation Inc, the Concord Housing Development Corp and Habitat for Humanity. The existing house is a 3-bedroom ranch which will be converted into a 2-family duplex resulting in an energy efficient, safe, and affordable home for the McCarthy and Champion families.
Since 2010, Wells Fargo has committed over $100 million to Habitat for Humanity, with more than $22 million supporting national Habitat for Humanity programs. Habitat Greater Lowell has been part of this important corporate giving program and Wells Fargo’s commitment to affordable housing since 2014. A huge thank you to Wells Fargo Builds for awarding Habitat Greater Lowell $30,000 to help build two more homes and for the continued partnership of Wells Fargo employees who have previously volunteered to help build 10 homes in our community.
